How should the next legislative session prioritize the use of interest from the Legacy Fund?
Increase K-12 funding? Support more investment in infrastructure? Eliminate income taxes? Identify new opportunities for behavioral healthcare? Criminal justice reform? Reduce property taxes? Fund more workforce development initiatives?
Should the interest be reinvested into the principal to grow the Fund faster? If so, how much of the interest?
The Legacy Fund Earnings Committee is coming to Fargo to hear directly from North Dakotans about how they want to see over $500 million put to use in our great state. From 6:40 – 7:40pm, the Committee will take public comment. If you plan to speak, some things to keep in mind:
– Keep your comments brief and to the point.
– Bring 15 copies of anything pre-written to distribute to the committee. Include your name and contact information for potential follow up.
– Be respectful of other attendees and committee members.
